As well as giving advice about brushing, flossing and eating. Our hygienist can remove plaque and tartar using our modern dental instruments such as a ultrasonic scaler, as well as other procedures relating to tooth cleaning and polishing.
For our younger clients fissure sealents may be advised to help prevent tooth decay.
Our dental hygienist's aim is to help our patients understand the connection between oral health care and overall health.
At Castle Dental Care our hygienist can educate patients about proper oral hygiene, and treat periodontal disease to prevent the condition from advancing and affecting your health.
Our hygiene studio also includes the Florida Probe dental software package. The software interface is complemented with a special periodontal probe designed by the Florida Probe Corporation which builds a pictorial diagram of problematic areas where damage has been sustained from gum disease.
The full examination can be carried out in 10-12 minutes, or alternatively it can be extended to a longer period where more patient education is required.
